From the Yale website...

Ryan Polley, the former Merrimack College head coach and second-team All-American player, joined the Yale men's lacrosse coaching staff as an assistant in the fall of 2006.

During his three seasons as head coach at Merrimack, Polley took the program from a 6-8 record in 2004 to two consecutive 11-5 finishes. His 2006 team finished with a No. 8 Division II national ranking and he received New England Division II Coach of the Year honors.

Prior to becoming his alma mater's head coach, Polley stayed in Andover where he was head coach for the first three years of the women's lacrosse program at Andover High School. His 2003 team went undefeated in the regular season, and in his three years Polley sent 13 players to collegiate women's lacrosse programs.

As student at Merrimack, where he received a B.A. in business administration, Polley played basketball and football in addition to lacrosse, though he played lacrosse exclusively during his last two years. He was a three-year captain on the lacrosse team and received various accolades, including second-team All-America and academic All-America while being named to the All-Northeast Team and the All-ECAC squad.

In addition to his coaching experience, Polley has held a number of finance and accounting jobs. In 2006, he was assistant controller at Marine Polymer Technologies Inc., a Massachusetts chemicals company.
